Count people and other food
Write down the headcount and whether pizza is the main meal. Include salads, wings, garlic bread or food brought by other people before deciding quantity.
Use three roles
A practical mix is one familiar pizza, one vegetable-forward pizza and one stronger choice such as Meat Lovers or Dragon. Adjust the mix to the group rather than copying a formula.
Separate strong preferences
Keep jalapeno, anchovy, pineapple or a strong sauce on a separate pie when the group is divided about it.
